hi there just trying something out, I have 2 gm300's one vhf and the other uhf, if I was to have 2 repeater cables in reverse to one another would both radios tx the other.
eg, if I tx on uhf the uhf would rx then tx the vhf, then when tx on vhf the vhf would rx then tx the uhf, or would that not work
thanks lance

Hello:
If I understand your question yes there is a cable to do that.
But lets make sure im understanding you and what you want.
If your wanting to take one VHF and one uhf GM300 so just 2 radios involved a vhf and a uhf.
If you want the vhf radio to rx a signal then make the uhf transmit it but also want the uhf to rx its signal then make the vhf transmit it = then yes you can do it.
But only one at a time as in the vhf is retransmitted to the uhf side and vice versus.
Its bidirectional but not full duplex.
If that's what your wanting then you can look on Ebay at auction #120473770318 or search on ebay for RA-2 Repeater Adaptor Motorola GM300 .
That should further explain its ability for you to decide if in fact its what your asking for.

yes would be the sort of thing, but that works on a switch to reverse the repeater, I want to have both the radios on, and when either of the radios hears a signal the other radio tx'es

So you want a bidirectional cross band repeater? Yes it can be done, it's not rocket science.

Hello:
That's exactly what the RA-2 repeater cable on ebay does.
You yourself don't switch the radios or cables the repeater black box has the components in it to auto maticly switch the radios .
It does it for you and faster than you can say I.
Both radios are on and if the vhf hears it then the UHF transmits it and also if the uhf hears it then the VHF transmits it .
U to V and also V to U.
Eigther your not explaining it right or you didn't understand the repeater cable RA-2 function.
If your trying to do something else then give us more info and explanation.

yes that is it, it seemed like cause it has a switch, you need to switch it over by hand to go the way you want, either v-u or u-v, but it dose it auto so this will do fine
thank you for your help

Hello:
The two switches your seeing ARE NOT SWITCHES but actual volume controls for each radios transmit audio.
You simply turn the volume potentiometer up or down per the needed retransmitted audio and never need to set again if set right the first time.
Theres two volume controls one for your VHF transmit radio And one for the UHF transmit radio.
Its pretty easy to see what they do if you play with them then you will see what they do and then will now how you want them set to work properly for loudness.
