hi all have some vhf spectra radios but all are dead . all radios have had the voice compounding boards removed they were taken out of service and were working the missing board is about 1.5 inches square bottom left any information will be usefull thank you gareth

Ggareth,

Not used on the VHF radios.
Only the 900 37 series Spectras had the little plug in board for Hear Clear.

So what you are saying is they will not power up?

hi will yes they do not power up at all that's all 300 and they have all had this board removed regards gareth

Let's start with the simple stuff. Are the green and orange wires from the remote mount or the red wire from the accy plug on the dash mount connected to 12VDC?

A model number? On the Spectra serial tag the ID No. is actually the radio's model number.

IE: D43KMA7JA5AK is a VHF 50 watt dash mount radio with the standard push button controls.

hi thanks for the info its pin 5 the wire is connected to +12 and it powers up thanks again for the assistance regards gareth
