I have a Motorola XPR4550 at home and a Kenwood NX-700 Nexedge radio in my company truck. Is there any encryption protocol that is built into those 2 radios that isn't proprietary that I can use for a form of simple encryption between the 2 of them without installing aftermarket boards?

No
You can't even talk between the two radios unless on analog

So there is no analog encryption that is built into both radios that will be compatible with both? Crud

nope, only encryption on both radios is in the digital domain.
