gp300 one channel only

I have acquired a handful of gp300's.. P93PC00D2AA.. with sequential serial numbers, 93 vintage.
I have managed to program four out of the five sets with the channels I require, one of the sets refuses to cooperate..
It seems to hold the frequencies more or less in random order and 12.5 Khz off channel..
If I program it with one channel only it holds the parameters perfectly, even out of band on 2 metres.
Help..
