I have a "HT1250" with no tags or labels.

I have read the radio.

The model number is H25KDH9AA6

The serial number is 749TJLT28*

Firmware is R05.13.09

Do I have a HT1250 or a trunking HT1250LS?

The CPS seems to have LS trunking options available BUT I have been able to create 3 Zones of 48 channels rather than just 16 or 32 channels which I think is the limit for LS radios? (although I have not tried to write the 48 channels to the radio.

I thought the HT1250 LS trunking radios only had 16 or 32 rather than 128 channels...so do I have a basic HT1250 OR can an HT1250LS also do 128 channels?

According to the model number chart in the HT service manual, you have a HT1250, 136-174 MHz, 5W, 128-Ch, DTMF, Display. It's not an LS.

Here's a link to the Basic Service Manual. Model number charts are in Chapter 8.

Thanks Steve - good news that its an HT1250 - I have no use for trunking options and want the full 128 channels!!!

I was expecting the CPS trunking options to be blanked out and not available.

Now I'm thinking I've installed LS trunking CPS rather than conventional CPS!!!

I thought that the standard conventional CPS and LS trunking CPS was all combined into one CPS version? Is this correct?

If not, would LS trunking CPS read a conventional radio?

Thanks

One CPS for all conventional and LTR radios, at least as far as the US Waris radios are concerned. Not sure why you're able to edit LTR parameters. Does it program fine?

I've successfully programmed the HT1250 with 48 channels.

I checked out a Motorola HT1250LS brochure and it indicated that a VHF HT1250LS has 128 conventional channels as well as trunking!! UHF, 200 MHz and 800 MHz LS+ radios have 16 channels....according to the brochure.

But my model number extracted from the radio indicates that its just a standard HT1250 - so maybe a LS codeplug has been written to the radio using LAB??

It's possible. That would explain why the LTR settings aren't grayed out.
