Astro spectra W3 110W question

I am new to the w3 110W astro spectra (lots of experience with W9 radios). For the Y cable speaker and ign sense is the connector the same set up as a mid power regular spectra? If not, what pins are the speaker and ign sense? Thanks

Thanks. Got the radio working and works well. Next question is does these program the same as a W9? I am using CPS 5.03 and a high power programming cable I use for the W9 but the CPS shows "unable to connect to radio". The radio does beep and display "1 CSQ" when I try to read it. Is my codeplug too new or what else does this need to program?
Thanks

It programs the same via the db 25 in the handle. If this is one you put the 6092 cable on its fried. It won't work.

Gotcha. No I put the cable in the handle part. That is only place I tried. I didn't want to go any further with it. I forgot to mention it does give me an error 08/10 code briefly (which is siren/PA) then gives me a normal screen. Does it require the siren to be hooked up before it can communicate?
This was definitely a federal radio. It transmits and receives great, just won't read.
Thanks again

Nope you can't have the siren on it to program it....there would be no place to plug in.
Whats the model number?

As you said the radio beeps and displays CSQ. This means the computer and RIB/cable are communicating with the radio.
May be a different version CPS as the CPS is not able to de compile the code plug data and gives the "unable to connect to radio" error.

That is what I was thinking. Some form of communication is taking place. What is newer than 5.03? I think a 5.04 was out. Anything that may have been used beyond that?
Model: T04KLH9PW3AN. Flash: 540001-000000-4

Yes some form of communication is taking place. 5.03 is the latest CPS...there is no 5.04. You would get a codeplug too new error anyway not failed to communicate. You have some other issue taking place. If all your programming stuff is known working including the computer then I would say you have a hardware issue in the radio.
And I asked the model number just to ensure it wasn't a plus model.

Well problem found. Thanks for all the help. Even though the RIB would read my W9 it wouldn't read my W3. I decided to replace the RIB battery and now it reads the W3. I didn't think it would work but it did. I guess it needed more juice to read the W3. I am glad you all at least pitched in. The reason this board exists. Thanks again and now off to program my W3.
Mike.

That's weird because the radio is supposed to power the rib. OEM cables and rib?

One more thing. I have illumination on the keypad but nothing is lit up on the mic display. Is this a setting somewhere?

Is it fixable? I have the tools and the soldering skills.

Never did it myself but others have.
