Hello,
I looked a good amount of paces and I cant seem to find out how to convert and XTS3000 I To II. Is there a way to actually preform that operation or not. If so, can you point me in the direction or give instructions.

Is MTSX Lab Dos RSS? And Ill Go Take A Look At P25.ca Right Now

You won't find the software there anyway, just information. Although they do host old DOS RSS versions for download, they do not host LAB versions, as they were never meant for use outside of Motorola, discontinued or not.

You need MTSX LAB version 3.00.02...there is an older 2.00.01 version floating around on the internet too, but it won't work.

Do a search here for MTSX LAB, and you'll find lots of older threads with pretty much step by step instructions. You're on your own for actually finding the software though.

I am in the process of locating MTSX Lab. I have the 2.00.01 and I read that I could get and S-record of the XTS without reading the thing through the rss. And when I read it regularly, it gives me an error. But I am guessing thats because its the wrong rss. Now does anyone have instructions on what I have to do when its read. Am i getting the S-Record or not? If I am what do I do with it.

I took a look around and found nothing. I am still in the process of getting MTSX Lab but I haven't been able to find it yet. Also does anyone have step by step instructions on how to do this. I want to do this.

If my memory serves well you need the the good mtsx version (not V2) and a model II S-rec backup.
Always backup tuning from radio 1st
You backup your current s rec (saves your ass) and the overwrite the radio with the M2 one .
Read radio and write again....
The target radio will have now the serial from the one's s-rec m2 you got.
These tread could help you need to do your homework and search and read before doing anything...
