error code 1/82

What would cause an XTS5000 to come up with error code 01/82 just on a read code plug, this has happened twice and it is back at MSS now and will have to be shipped back to depot Thanks

I would guess hardware failure.

if writing a known good codeplug doesn't fix it, then an EEPROM failure will usually cause a FAIL 01/82. Off to the depot for a fresh VOCON board, while you still can!
