Hello,

I picked up a used remote desk set marked p/n L1474A.

From what i read so far, it is a DC,tone or local remote desk set.

This unit has been modified with a relay to provide a PTT signal to a Motorola Gm300 for paging. I figure it may be configured as local control.

What i would like to know is if i could modify it back to tone remote so that i could connect it to my Centracom II console.

Right now it does not generate a guard tone when i press the transmit button either from the handset or the TX button

Where would i be able to obtain a manual for this unit?

thanks

A L1474 is a DC remote as far as I can tell without the series manuals in front of me. If you want tone control, you need a 1475. There were three kinds - local 1473, DC 1474, and tone 1475. They don't convert one to another. There were some manuals available on the E-something site.

Ok thanks for the information. There is a manual for the L1473 but not the L1474.

I will keep looking... (unless someone has a scan of one)

Thanks
Mike
