Hi all,
I have a few CDM1550LS+ AAM25KHF9DP5AN and I'm stuck with 16 Conventional channels and no 2 Tone decode. Older forum threads indicate Motorola used to offer an upgrade service for these lifting these to 6AN models reasonably priced but no longer support them. I see a service on EBay for channel expansion and signalling, anybody try them or able to point me in the right direction on this short of selling the 5AN's which are late models and clean for 6AN's ?
CDM1550LS+ channel upgrade past 16 ?

Never used that eBay seller, but tried in vain to get a 1550LS+ upgraded through a large MSS about a year ago. Gave up.
I'm just weary about sending my radio to an eBay seller, the way that site is the "wild wild west", you never know who you are dealing with.

That's pretty much how I see EBay also, there's a few guys I've dealt with for years and are excellent but kinda a crapshoot with others. Anyone here have any interactions with that Bose fixer upper guy ? (Has good F/B but is an unknown to me).

I've dealt with the Bose guy, (Pro series Pro was his name before) and he is a straight shooter. Not for his Pro series stuff, but he did re-cap my Bose Wave Radio and did excellent work. FWIW though, he had great rep on AudoKarma and other Audio forums. Cannot comment on his two way work, but if it is anything like the work he did on my Wave (original 1993 build) it is still going strong 5 years later and sounds as good as it did when the radio came out of the Framingham factory in the summer of 1993.
