Repoairing a Moto NTN 7209A Show Charger

Post by k6whp »

I fear my NTN 7209A charger has given up the ghost; no lights (red or green); nothing.

Need to pop the top to get to the innards but forgot how. There's two screws t=with those %#$*&^@%$*! proprietary heads on them (not stars, not Allen, dunno). Can anyone describe how the top can be taken off one of these beasts -- aside from a band-saw?

Thanks,

Bill

Those _three_ screws are security torx T5, and there's two up 'front' and one in the back in a deep recess, so you're going to need an actual driver instead of a bit. I do not have an actual driver in tamperproof / security torx, just my bitset, so I haven't been able to get past step one in my NTN 7209A, sorry. But after pulling the three screws, I'd be awfully interested in the clips sticking out there...
