I would like to have a cable that would go onto tip and ring on a punch block pair and extend it so I can attach a meter or tone generator and have a stable connection. Is there a name, part number, and source for it?

What type of punch block?
66? BIX? 110?

Exactly what I needed. Thanks everyone! I will order Monday for several of their plugs and adaptors.

For single-pair testing we mostly use the one that Bill's shown on the right in the above picture. If you want to expand your adapter "arsenal", you might also look into the TAP-110-A4 (110-block adapter, T568B) and the TESTAR8A-C5 (66-block adapter, T568B), as well as some Banjo (MODAPT) adapters.

We use these:

Cut off the ice cube and solder on whatever you want on the end.

Or this if you prefer:

Already has ring terminals.

Good for lots more than 66 blocks.
