Hi,

This is probably a VERY dumb question, but I have never used a maxtrac until now -- Once a QCII signalling system is setup under the signalling options and the same QCII system is selected as the TX signalling system for a particular mode, how do I get the radio to actually transmit the tones? Thanks in advance.

I've been woundering this for a long time. I have it set up in the codeplug for QCII in the tx signal system, but I can't figure out how to get it to play the tones. I figured it would be one of the buttons, but I've tried tham all. Am I missing something?

Make sure you are on the channel you enabled QCII TX, press the select button once, and scroll with the arrow keys to the system # you set the QC to correspond to (1,2,3 etc.) Then key the mic and the tones will be sent.

I tried that, but when I press the select button, nothing happens. Is there a certain way I have to set it up in the RSS?

Make sure you have the tx signalling set to a quick call system on each channel you want to be able to transmit the tones. The quick call tones are under the "SC" designation when you press the select button. Make sure you aren't on "CA" or "CH".
