XTS5000 in constant monitor

I have a XTS5000 that is in constant monitor. I have the speaker icon on the display on all channels that are programmed with PL/DPL. The only thing I can think of is that I'm missing some global setting somewhere.

Has anyone seen this or have an idea what I'm missing?

Thanks

PL Disable is on. Maybe on the B position of the A B C switch.

Take a look at this thread, last comment:

Was it cloned?

I vaguely remember hearing about portables that got stuck in monitor for no apparent reason, but it's been quite a while, so maybe there was a firmware issue that's been fixed? Do you know what firmware version you have?

The XTS5000's that Long Beach PD used would sometimes stick in monitor. We had no manual monitor controls available. The fix was to reprogram the radio with a good code plug. Since we had dedicated channels the usual complaint was the user heard the repeater ID and had squelch tails.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Been really biz with clearing snow and biz with work.

The radio was not cloned.

I will look into "PL Disable is on. Maybe on the B position of the A B C switch"

Firmware im sure is quite old. I don't have the radio with me right now. Im thinking 06.xx.xx best I can remember.

Thanks for the help

I do remote legit firmware upgrades for $25. You should get it upgraded if it really is that old of firmware.
