Motorola Astro Spectra

Hello All,
I'm converting a VHF Astro Spectra from a mobile radio in my vehicle to a base station in my residence.
I purchased everything necessary for operation including a 50a Astron power supply.. I have a friend that is a ham and he has a lot of experience
in radios that is helping me out and that is a blessing to me, I am just seeing if anyone can provide me with any tips or advice so I can make this
come together seamlessly. Can anyone give me any tips for hooking up to the power supply, grounding, etc? Any advice is appreciated!
