Hello All,

Does anyone know who manufactured the cabinets for the MTR2000, MTR3000, Quantar and other various products ?
Part numbers like THN6700, THN6701, THN6702 etc.

I have had one on backorder since December, I have grave doubts I will ever see it.
Parts ID has no clue as to who made them.

I know other manufacturers make equipment enclosures, but the 30" Motorola cabinet has the right combination for many applications. Size and cost the most important factors.

Moderators feel free to move this to the infrastructure category if it more approbate there.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

We went through the same thing here. We just received one from American Products Co. from Missouri, I believe. Contact there was a Joanne at 417-736-2135 ext. 2369. I haven't mounted things in it yet but it is a 30" cabinet like the ones from Motorola. It uses a different key however and does not say "Motorola" on it. If you can live with those differences, it is worth checking out.

Well for what it's worth they are in the process of trying to qualify a new supplier, and given the number of these things they turn over I would lean towards them supplying the materials..........eventually

Rumor from my local vendor too is that the newer black cabinets (for the GTR, since a GTR won't fit in the current cabinets with the doors on!) can ONLY be ordered as part of a package with another item. You cannot order a cabinet separately. Anyone shed some truth on this? They are nice cabinets however.....

Thanks to all that replied !!

I guess I'm not as alone in the quest for a decent, modestly priced cabinet.

Lake Effect - sure looks like a Motorola cabinet to me. I'm waiting on pricing now. It would certainly be my first choice.

Escomm - Its the "eventually" that I'm worried about. MOL still says the cabinet is available with a 10 day lead time ! I think the THN1015 is the same cabinet minus the doors......for more money !!

Jmfirefighter20 - I can't find any cabinets available for the GTR series. Only racks shown in the book. If you come across a part number , please post it. I'm curious now.

Anyway.......thanks again to all.
