I have some maxtracs, and m1225's radios that I want to make into seperate repeaters. Are there versions of ricks for each model of radio or will the same rick it work for both. The repater will use the same models of radio for rx and tx. Thanks.

The motorola r.ic.k. will work on both.
The m1225 is programmed with RSS for repeater. The maxtrac needs internal mod.

I also make a RICK kit prewired for the Maxtrac or M1225/Radius radios.
It comes wit he the modification information to use a five pin logic board radio for a receiver, when orderd for five pin radios.

OK, Im talking with Jocko right now on the radio and he wants me to ask some questions:
1) What is the deal with an internal mod for the maxtrac repeat? We thought it was just a plug and play deal with the RICKs, not modification needed, can you clarify?
2) Will..... give me some more info on this "ready-made" stuff. What comes with it, price, all that goood stuff

The RICK kits are for a paticular radio onfiguration as they have ALL cables and connectors for the radio to radio connections NOT any RF or antenna connections.
There is a modification to the receiving radio if it has a five pin accessory connector on the logic board. It consists of a added wire on the logic board, an added resistor and jumper wire on the Volume control/mic jack board.

OK, I just talked with Jocko and he's interested. He wants me to tell you that he has an 800 mhz radio with the 16 pin accesory connector. Will he still have to do a mod? He really doesnt want to have to do anything internally. Also, let me know a price. We are in San Luis Obispo, CA. THanks.

If the 800 radio can have the accessory connector programed for TOS on pin 8 it will work without any changes inside. Our RICK kit is for a unidirectional repeater, one transmit and one receive. I could make up a kit for your buddy that is bidirectional "cross band" capable if thats what he needs. It still should be a LOT cheaper than //'s.
