Batboard

Has anyone used a Raspberry Pi to decode the data stream of an APX 7000 to be able to see what zone and channel a radio is on? I have an interface to key and talk but no data to know or change the channel. I see mics with that capability and even show on the mic lcd. I know there is an Impres data loop but please point me in the right direction.
