Best Point to Get 12v Preamp Power from 24v MTR2000

I would like to power a 12v preamp from somewhere on the back of a MTR2000 that has a 24v input power supply. What would be the most appropriate point or connector to get this power? I know it is available at several places but I am wondering if any is better than another. Internal fusing, preventing damage to the repeater if accidentally shorted, etc are considerations.

Thanks
Birken

96-pin System Connector A18, B18, C18. These are protected by a tiny fuse on the backplane behind the metal plate that surrounds the System Connector. I think you can safely draw up to an amp from all three pins combined. You might consider a separate in-line fuse just so you don't have to take the whole station apart to replace the one on the backplane, should it be forced to do its job.
