What is the going price and the best company to recrystal and temperature compensate Motorola channel elements? Like for a MSR2000. I just got a quote from ICM for $ 180.91 each, plus shipping both ways. Six weeks delivery. UHF for amateur band.

That's about right these days. ICM would be the company I would recommend. You can buy just the crystal and replace the crystal in the element yourself, I've done this, but you have to adjust the frequency error every few months for the first couple of years. With their temp-comp'ed elements, you're good to go. And yes, 6 weeks is about right - that's because of the crystal growing & temperature compensation process.

Too bad Bomar dropped out of the market for recrystaling and temperature compensating, I had that done on a pair of GE
Custom MVP uhf elements about a year before they dropped out and i paid about a little over $100 for the pair. They were
my first choice when i needed that done.

Unless there's a mom-and-pop doing it somewhere ICM is the last player left in the game. Narrowbanding killed off virtually any need for it in the commercial LMR sector, save for lowband users.

I just had two GE ICOMs done earlier this year for a Mastr IIe repeater (wooo six meters) and I was into them for ~$300 when it was all said and done. After that I parted ways with all of my rockbound project repeaters. It's just not worth it anymore, except for low band where your options are pretty limited.

I'd bet Filtronetics could do it. MTRon PTI too

I just went through both above websites and neither of them indicate they offer such services.
If you know anyone at these companies perhaps you can ask them and if so ask them to advertise
via their websites so the amateur community is properly served.

ICM quoted me $25.58 each for xtals only (Id change out xtals using the old TCXOs) for a MT500

This quote would be for the crystal itself and the install in the element and the alignment to the element frequency
with no compensation. That is actually not too bad.
