HPD1000 and 700 Astro25 IV&D

Got a couple of these on the bench - we're trying to get them to play on an Astro25 700 system with IV&D enabled. Flashcode is 000000-004080-5. Firmware is the latest available, R01.04.14.

The issue I'm running in to is that the 700_800_900 Astro25 Control Channels screen will not take any 700 MHz frequency, even when the Astro25 Channel ID is properly configured (12.5 channel bandwidth, +30 offset, 6.25 spacing, 762.00625 base frequency.) The hard limit seems to be 851.0125, which is giving me fits because all of the literature clearly states 700 MHz is supported. I can set up a HPD system with 700 frequencies all day long, but not Astro25. I'm hoping someone here has worked on these before and can point me towards what I'm doing wrong.

I don't think HPD1000 will work on an Astro25 IV&D, will it? Don't you need HPD-specific back end? I was always under the assumption that HPD was a standalone, conventional system.

I hope "conventional" isn't the rub there. Of course it will take 700 frequencies in a conventional personality all day long, it just gets angry when I try to plug them in as control channels.

I think that's your problem. I've never heard of HPD equipment using trunking, but again, I'm no HPD expert.
