GM300 minimum audio volume

Hi all
Is there any way to decrease minimum audio level without soldering?

There is a resistor on the volume control board. Short it out and the volume will go to zero.

It's the only resistor on the board with the Volume Control and MIC jack. It's a 10 ohm axial-lead resistor. Just short it out.

Why not just remove the pin jump from the rear if you want no volume?

I'm not going to permanently disable audio. I would like to have possibility to decrease audio volume to the level closer to "0" using potentiometer.
