My laptop finally died and before I replace it I need to know what is the fastest processor and speed to use programming a spectra with Spectra Version 6 RSS.

I mainly program Spectra's and MTS2000, I have very current Windows MTS CPS, and So I am trying to find out if I need a 386/486 and a Pentium laptop or just one.

Thanks again for the help.

Mike

If you're using the new MTS/MCS Windows RSS, go as fast as you please, 450MHz is the recommended minimum speed in the documentation. As far as the DOS stuff goes, many people will recommend a 386/486, no faster than 25MHz. I myself use a Compaq Pentium 120MHz, runs everything with no problems using the Win98 "MS-DOS Mode for Games with EMS and XMS Support", located under the C:Windows directory. Your mileage may vary.
