I have a pair of Motorola DTR550s. My questions are:

-Can they be modified to put a bit more power? Would 2 watts be possible?

-If the above were possible, I assume that they would be legal for both my wife and I, who are licensed amateur radio operators, to use. With the increase in power, we would have to use our callsigns, etc.

Good luck in figuring out how to increase the power out on a spread-spectrum digital radio. Why not use them the way they are?
