I have an XTL5000 (looks like the astro spectra)Dash mount. I NEED a remote/under cover mount. Is there a kit to change over the dash mount (mounted in the trunk) to use the hand held control in the front of the car?

My budge does not allow for the purchase of a new radio. I either make do with what I have, or convert it, depending on cost.

What kind of head do you have now (W series or O series)? If it's W series, you're gonna have to piece the kit together as the O series conversion kit is NLA (I tried to order one last year and discovered that!). Also, you may need to bump your FW.

If you currently have an O series, should be just a different cable, the O3 head, and a quick change of control head type in CPS.
