Is a MTS2000 with S split capable of programming down to 440 MHz? Or is 450 MHz the bottom limit?

I have used a few on 442 MHz repeaters, & they worked just fine. Haven't tried any lower than that though. GARY

The MTS hardware can be hit or miss on how far out of band it will lock. Similar to the spectras, it's luck of the draw on how low it will go into the amateur bands. Unlike the spectras however, the MTS hardware is much harder or even impossible to modify to lock on lower frequencies if you have a unit that doesn't play nice. Your best bet is to try it out and see what works and what doesn't.

Yes. Just hex edit the CPS, it's not hard at all.

I have successfully moved S-split MCS2000 and MTS2000 radios to the 440 ham band with no issues. Usually around 435MHz the VCO won't lock.

The Jedi's usually go +/- 10 MHz with good performance and sensitivity very close to in band results and within published specs.
