I can find MPL female-QMA male adapters for connecting to the radio end, but no MPL male - QMA female adapters for connecting to the coax end for wattmetering an installation.

Anyone have a source for these?

Wrong direction. I need the QMA antenna cable to mini UHF adapter. Can't find it anywhere. Makes wattmetering installations impossible.

What I posted above is what we use to adapt our APX8500 QMA connectors to mini-uhf connectors that are supplied by motorola
so what about these is WRONG? With them we have no problem hooking up our Bird or service monitors.

That he clearly said he is looking for a QMA female and you posted a QMA male? He stated he is trying to adapt from the antenna cable QMA male to the wattmeter, not from the radio to the wattmeter.

Why QMA to Mini-UHF? Do you have Mini-UHFs on your meter?

Our wattmeters have N connectors and we use QMA to N for testing, cable type from wattmeter to radio, adapter from antenna to wattmeter.

We made a variety of patch cords for every possible need and they all fit in the carry case
with the Bird and also some rf adapters. The most used connector was mini-uhf for the
motorola radios that we and our other dept and neighbor dept radios use. Having all these
patch cords makes you ready to check anything needing a rf output or swr check and come
in handy often.

N connectors are standard on Bird and Telewave meters. You can change them, but it's a better connector than Mini-UHF.
I don't need to make a bunch of 'patch cords', I just need one N-male to N-male cable and a good RF adapter kit.
I never use a cable on the antenna side unless I absolutely have to, such as if the antenna cable isn't able to reach the meter, otherwise an adapter is the most I'll use.
I can't tell you how many times I've been asked by someone to look at an antenna because they're getting a high reflected reading and it turns out to be a bad 'patch cord' they were using on the antenna side of the meter. The fewer cables in the mix, the better.

The APX8500 QMA connector is female - hence what i posted above!
OK - so what antenna these days has a QMA connector - I have never seen them out yet?

The all band antenna shipped with the APX8500 is a QMA. I just made a pair of patch cables from QMA to N for wattmeters and testing, and gave a set to each tech and installer. Yeah, it's a PITA, but I haven't see an adapter kit that has them - yet.

We have not purchased any lately so I have not seen them yet.

Those would work, but it was much easier to just fabricate cables from parts on hand. That way too, I had control of the fab process and was able to sweep each cable as they were built.
