XTS1500 battery icon on radio display

I have a XTS1500 that the battery icon was working with old battery. I tried 3 new NTN9858C Motorola batteries and the icon will not appear. What is the cause?

Have you tried conditioning the batteries in an impres charger?

The first charge out of the boxes was complete cycle in WPLN4114AR V3.90.

I know there has been an update to the impres firmware since 3.9. Might try a charger with current firmware. Can’t remember the current version off the top of my head but it is on MOL.
