Clear Quantar alarm / Adj charging voltage

Post by jbd3 »

Our ham club has a Quantar VHF repeater that we just upgraded the power supply to battery revert since we had batteries there from our former repeater. 2 AGM 12 volts in series and we are getting about 30 volts and 1.6 amps being applied. Is there a way to directly adjust the charging voltage to bring it down a bit? Alternatively, since we don't have the temp sensor is there a way to add a potentiometer or something to that terminal to fool the system into a lower charge voltage not based on temperature? Is this possibly a consequence of NOT having the probe? Lastly, a power cycle failed to clear the 4 beep charging over-voltage alarm. Is there a way to turn that off, possibly selecting NONE in the battery type setting in the service software? Any pointers appreciated.
