SVA Info...

Saber SVA..
Wires as per the FAQ here...BUT whether the green wire is disconnected or connected to switched + power the SVA lights still stay lit...
I am wired + and yellow right to the battery.. - to ground on battery greeen disconnected...
What am I missing..??

Nick: The green wire does not control anything in the SVA. Rather, it controls EXTERNAL devices.
You've got it connected right. Now, if you want to On/Off the SVA, connect the yellow wire to the switched side of the ignition switch, then the unit will be off when the ignition switch is off.
You've got it connected the way you should do it when you're using just an external power supply in, for instance, a base station.
On my SVA's when I cut the power all the lights go off. If you use the yellow wire shutoff the lights may stay on but I'm not sure if they will or not.

Thats what i thought.....in lieu of going to the ignition siwthc on my pathfinder...it has a switch on the dash for the fog lights that I dont have anymore....I am running it through that to cut it on and off...

To revive an old thread:
If I have the ignition sense wire hooked to a switched source, will the SVA still operate, minus the battery charger, with the ignition sense wire low, or will it be completely dead?
