The bane of Motorola RSS. Your radio is newer than the version of software you are using. No answer, but if anybody has a fix, I'd fall over. Pays to keep your software subscriptions up to date! Poor M needs the $.

Error 56 indicates the codeplug is corrupt. Was the radio working properly before you tried to add a new frequency? Have you used this RSS on this radio before?

This does not sound like a "codeplug too new for application" type of error. If the radio was working properly, try reloading your previous archive. If you don't have a previous archive, since you have lab, blank the logic board (with the retain tuning data option) then reprogram. If radio was originally trunked and you are using conventional lab RSS - assuming you want a conventional radio - you must change the firmware.

What is your objective in attempting to modify the .mdf file? Lab RSS should let you make the radio do anything the hardware will support without modifying the .mdf file.

No I did'nt used this RSS on this radio before.
I got the same ERROR's in regular RSS R07.02.
Before the .mdf modify I got the ERROR NO 21
"Radio not supported" .
Is there any way to work with this RSS just
for programming freq.

Your radio is a 25 watt, UHF, 12.5KHz, Smartnet trunking unit.

This radio is supported by the MAXTRAXS RSS RVN-4043.
