well, most of you have seen my truck.

i need to figure out some way of preventing power cycles to the radios during the initial startup of the truck.

something cheap, i hope.

i bought a "start-guard" unit some time ago, but it's only good for 20 AMPS, TOTAL CURRENT... like "normal duty" radio current is max 20A.

i have the following in the truck:

2 MCS 2000's 110w (turned down to 60)
1 VHF Astro
1 800 Astro
1 x9k low band (turned down to 75w)

all radio power is coming from the battery direct, all ignition sense wires tie direct to a distribution box under the rear seat

How about a Master Switch control in the cab, like the Ambulances use. These are 200 amp switches and should be sufficient to run all your gear through. This is also a security item that enables you to turn everything off when you leave the kids in the truck.
After you start the truck, engage the switch to power up the gear.
