I can program this into the 6 meter range but it will not transmit above 51 mc. I was able to do one just like it with no trouble. Can anyone help me out here.Is there a fix .

You need to adjust the VCOs, (slightly counter clockwise I think). Then if the power drops back off, you need to short the top of the wire U inductor about 1/8 inch down..... Then if the power is not up to snuff, you can spread several of the coils in the PA.....Keith

You do need to adjust the two VCO "steering Voltages" (put a VOM on the pad labled SL) and adjust CCW for about 7.5 volts at the highest freq ( I think, if not high, then low). As the other fellow sent, short the large loop in the PA or better yet, flow some solder on it to make it thicker on sides and especially the top. I have done several, and it works ok. You will probably have more trouble with the RX. Non-ferrous slugs (brass) will make it better, and works ok on some. I have removed and shorted the last two (top) turns on the RX coils, put the cans back on and re-installed, and the work a little better. After all that check with a good COMM-MONITOR, especially spectrum analyser...
