Need to chase down something; an MSF5000 Limited station, repeater, model C64RLB7106; is it RSS programmable with standard RSS, or is this the old R1801 suitcase programmer?

Thanks,
Chuk Gleason

Chuck, that would be the r1800a/1801.
But to be sure, try running the serial number on the manufacture date utility program on Batlabs.

P.S., does that have the securenet option??
Here's some more info from a service manual that I have, the repeater split is 435-475mhz, and it should do around 110 watts, it is programmable with the r1801/1800.

C74CLB710x IS the eprom version, so called "analog" MSF5000. It does require the R1801 programmer or take the eprom out and have a new one programmed, save the old one for testing. There are some on here who have made up eproms.
C74CLB7105 is DC remote, 7106 tone remote base, 7105T is the repeater.

The correct answer to your question is: The MSF5000 Limited (C64RLB)is IBM PC RSS programable.

The MSF5000 Limited radios are among the most recent MSF's produced. Available starting June 15, 1993, this is an example of a "Marketing" model. The only thing "Limited" about this radio was the feature set available on the original factory order. With the RVN-4077 RSS, any MSF "Digital capable / Analog Plus" radio features can be programmed into these units.

This model was introduced specifically to fill a pricing void left by the cancellation of the MSR2000.

I'm doing other leqwork, here. I was given the model number as "RLB"; definitely NOT CLB or CXB. That's what had me confused..., thus the question.

Thanks,
Chuk

OK, looks like consensus is with RSS; RVN4077 and the programming cable. Yeah, that "RLB" in the model number threw me; If it's not programmable with the RSS, I'll be looking for someone to blow a PROM fo rme...

Thanks,
Chuk

Chuk -
Sure it's not a "RCB" (aka Micor ?)

My manual for the R-1801 and for the PC software doesn't show a "RLB" model for the MSF-5000's. E-mail me direct if you need further

MSF5000; answered.

Glory, Glory, yes the PC RSS does do this station; I done fixed someone else's hose-job and life is good. Thanks to all who answered; (and yes, Andy B., I questioned my source when he told me it was ...RLB.. in the model number.. )
