I recently started to get FAIL 4D/10 error on startup. I believe that this is for a MDC1200 board in one of the radios, but I cannot find the error code listed anywhere. I would prefer to find out here before ripping the radios out. Everything SEEMS to be functioning properly however...

Packy,
According to the Batlabs error code section "0D/10" is an option serial bus failure for MDC-600/MVS. Your code of 4D/10 would mean you have this problem in the secondary radio which is addressed as "4" instead of "0". If it were the primary radio it would be "2" instead of "4" or "0".
Just looked in my Syntor X9000 service manual and it confirms the info on the batlabs sight. It is looking for the option board for this but can't find it.

Thanks again Jason! I popped open the 2nd radio, and unplugged the DTMF board, and it allows normal operation, still get the code, and the MDC1200 board in there is working ok. I forgot to write the first time that when the error started, the radios were really slow and would loop into self check for a couple of minutes, and then would be ok, but the radio would work very slow off the control head, and the 2nd would not RX. With the MDC1200 in there, it works normally, but still with the error (without the DTMF). I have always had problems with using the MDC1200 boards for somereason. I cannont find your earlier emails, but do the MDC carrier boards need to be jumpered like the DTMF's?

Packy,
The service manual I have for the MDC1200 says absolutely nothing about a different jumper configuration for dual radio setup like the DTMF and Securenet manuals show.
