800 antenna, bit off topic

I have a Comtelco 7 element yagi antenna labeled 806MHz with a TNC connector.
I would like to put this up on the tower then connect it to the MTS2000 or BC780xlt to monitor some neighboring agency trunking.
Would cable tv line work for just receiving? If so, would it provide for less loss than most other coax compared to its size? Is this an option worth pursuing?
