I've got 3 Motorola HTX. Is there a way to modify them to work as a conventional radio?
Thanks in advance.

No,it´s not possible.
It´s designed only for trunking operation.

If I remember correctly the controller of the HTX series is just like the MT1000/Ht600/p200. I would try putting an Mt1000 controller in it and see how it works.

Thaks for your reply.

I read in an earlier posting that the htx is a trunking version of the mt1000/ht600.

So it could be possible by changing the controller of the htx with a mt1000. thats what i'll try next. I'll let you know.
