Hi,

Just wondering, am trying to power up this spectra, that use to be a motorcycle spectra but now is a underdash unit, I dont have the connector in the back, so I dont really have audio either, but I try to power it up with the postive and negative power on the back of the spectra, and the unit dont power up, do I need some other wire, that is from that asseroies connector to power this unit up?

Look here at the batlabs regular site. You need one wire from the 15 pin connector on the back of the radio to get 12v+ to turn on the radio.

Thanks for the info, So that 2nd wire, will go to positive power also, right?

Yes it does. In my fleet of apparatus, we use all spectras. They are excellent radios. You can get replacement 15 pin connectors from any GOOD electronics store. Follow the pinouts on batlabs so you can make your own connector. You will need to have a 3 pins used, 2 for the speaker and one for turn on power. You may want to install a jumper across the Ext Emerg+ and GND pins. If you don't and your radio is emergency capable, it will either annoy you to death with NOEMERG or actually transmit an emerg signal

Bubbasnest,

GOOD POINT without the jumper on the Emergency pins on the accessory connector, it can cause some weird problems.. Better to be safe.
