Astro Saber III Help, Please

Post by dodge3500 »

 I have an Astro Saber III, 7.0, does Astro, everything just fine. Sticker on the radio was an H04SDH9PW7AN, but when I read the radio, it comes us as an SDF, which does not allow me to use the DTMF pad. Since I will use this for listening to 25 stuff and as a HAM radio, I was really looking forward to using the DTMF pad.

I can send DTMF, LIST ONLY, it will not give me the UNLIMITED option. Get the "boop" tone when buttons are pressed, so the metel is behind the rubber.

I know this is not a hacked two, anyone have any ideas? I had an old Saber III codeplug, but the radio will not take it because of the model number does not match. Tried to find the model and change it in the codeplug, but I cannot find the hex string? Does anyone know what "F" I need to chane to an "H"?

Thanks in advance!

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

If the codeplug in the radio has the W7 in it, it will not allow direct access to sending DTMF, list only. Sounds like you have an Astro Saber 2 in a 3 case.

:) Thanks for the info, the Lab I have is really old, so is the plug, but I did get the DTMF to work, but now I lost the CIA digital sq. option. I need newer Lab and a newer CP I guess. Thanks. I did pick up MODAT.. Wierd sound!
