http://www.Sirennet.com aka Mchloughlin and Eardly is a great company to get vehicle equipment from.
I spoke with Rich in sales there, got an excellent quote just above whosale on gamber-johsnon equipment. Beat several dealers online as well the two local outlets here. Service was excellent, Rich was knowledgeable about his product lines and they offer same day drop shipment from their supplies.
Too bad they don't carry RF supplies, but if its public safety mounts, warning equipment and lights they are the place to go.
FYI, only a small portion of what they carry is on their website - just call in for special order stuff.
Full line Troy dealer as well!

Watch their shipping though. They tend to make up for their low prices with gouged shipping. They calculate shipping based on total cost, not actual shipping weight or cost.

Shipping quotes was $29 which isn't bad considering the weight of the full laptop mount and accessories I ordered. That's a lot of steel.

Just watch this place- everything here isn't such a great deal. Like Gall's, some things are a good price and others you'll bend over for.
Shop around is the moral of this story.
Also, will they be around in three years if you have a problem?
Most "dot commers" won't.

I dont think they are going anywhere soon, McLoughlin & Eardly, the parent company has been in business for 55 years with the emergency products section for the last 16 years.
Global company as well - large present in south africa.
I think since Galls became part of Aramark their pricing hasn't been that great.

Galls is a rip-off on anything like that. Granted, they are a one-stop shop for everything known to man and some things that aren't.
Gall's

Gall's is kinda like 7-11 or any other convenience store...you pay for the convenience of one stop shopping. Personally, I use them for reference and that's about it.

Galls seems to target the Volunteer responders and smaller departments. Some of their " private label" Emergency equipment is made for them by the big manufactuters. Ive seen departments try to save a few$$ and it costs them down the road a few years when we have to repair or replace what they bought. One department bought their plastic center console. Now two years later they want to add laptops to the car. No way in heck it would work. The Chief wants to know why he has to spend $2-300 a car for a center console when he just spent money 2 yrs ago.. Their Knock off SW300's are cheap under wired shoddy switches.

From what I have seen about Gall's is they sell seconds and or refurbs of popular equipment. I don't know if that is true or not but they don't do a very good job with putting together the lightbars that you would order from them. A friend of mine bought an Edge bar from them once and the filters didn't fit properly, there were gaps between the sections etc. When we took it apart to put the appropriately sized parts in we found that the power supply wasn't secured in the bar at all... Just kind of sitting inside.
I have always found other places to buy equipment from for that reason. And the fact that they are very expensive anymore as well.
