I have 2 Visar's with simalar problems, radio 1 will shut off when you (lightly) squeeze the case from the sides, just below the PTT button, after releasing the radio will power up. Radio 2 same action but radio loses audio,

That's a common problem with the Visar series. Root cause is the controller mounted on the inside of the front housing, look in there and make sur it's nice and snug in there.
