Seth, that is the MPT trunking version of the MC Micro, it's a GMBH product and probably would work if you had a conventional logic board out of a MC Micro radio.

Exacltly! You might want to find a midband MC Micro on Ebay (66-77mhz) and slap that logic board in it and overwrite it as a vhf and hex in the 220 frequencys. You should be able to pick up a midband for about 35.00.

I wonder if you ever managed to get your T340 to work in conventional mode?

I have an T340 which I have heard can be modified but I cannot find any info on the web.

I was told that the T340 is the trucking "sister" radio of the M110 not an MC Micro. The M110 looks like an MC Micro but I am not sure if the logic board out of an MC Micro is compatible with an M110/T340???

Thanks

Martin

Any progress on this? I have a T340 MAU36EVA5G22BK.
I got it for a mantel piece but would love to get it converted to conventional for 220 ham if possible.
When fired up the green light comes on as do some triangles in the LCD. The red light flashes, maybe looking for a system?
Is there a trunking M110? Maybe a shorting mic plug to put it in the test mode?
Was there ever a conventional version with RSS?

Sadly, I've never seen any mods. The T340 looks similar to an MC Micro and M110 but I have never seen a conventional T340 or a Trunking M110. The MC Micro is basically identical to the M110 although it uses different RSS. The M110 was a "dealer supplied" radio while the MC Micro was supplied direct by Motorola.

I think Beno S56KZN and Aleks S56AL might have been trying to do something - search on their callsigns to find M110 mods.

As well as modding firmware, there is also the problem of getting a T340 down to 145MHz in Europe.

Ask Andreas who is very knowledgeable.
