Does anyone know what the difference is between the 'A' and 'B' version of the UHF MT1000? (i.e. H44GCU7100AN vs. H44GCU7100BN).
Thanks in advance...

Not real sure, i have not played with one in a while but I beleive the AN is non DTMF and the BN model may be DTMF.
Or it could apply to scan functions.

If i rember correct, "B"-models have Scan, "A"-models have none.

Yes, I believe that you are correct... in fact, in the RSS software there is a notice on the scan programming page that only 'B' models are supported. Thanks for the tip!

the big difference is that an A model will not work the ENHANCED FEATURES of an enhanced contvertacom and the B model will. A model will work in it it but you won't get the ch display or other features, you have to use the radio's functions controls.

a,b,c,&d are simply the revisions of the radio's firmware. The reason that a b scans and an a doesnt is that // didnt want to give away the farm on the first run..
There is no corelation between a=non scan
b=scan etc, it is just when they decided to add the feature. ht1000;s and visars
have as high as d's. In other words a letter does not always mean a certain option
it simply means a change has been done. sometimes simply an improvement with no "new features" Phrawg
