I have a 40W UHF 450-482 Spectra with a bad RF Front End board. From Accesspoint, noticed that a replacement board in the 438-470 range costs about half as much as a 450-482 board. All of my operation is in the 440-470 range, so....

Can I replace the 450-482 RF Front End (HRE6003B) with a 438-470 one (HRE6002C), and still have the radio work well in 440-470?

Yep, if your VCO already locks down to 440, and you have no need for anything above 470, the 438-470 front-end will work even better for you in the ham band than the 450-482 version.
