OK-this may not be the most fertile soil to plant your gear in, but it certainly is doable.
First off, you have a very decent access through the firewall by the passenger side. To get into the cab, you will need to remove the glovecompartment.
I do not have much experience when it comes to dropping hide-away bulbs, since have a combination of strobe and LED dashlights. I use a LED light and dual Whelen Dashmiser to the front, and a 911ep WL28 LED to the rear. I am looking into some strobes or LED's to go in the sidewindows for more sidewarning, but am not sure if I will quite need it yet.
Everything is wired into a unitrol touchmaster, which perfectly fits into the little compartment in front of the gear shifter, undearneath the cd/radio concole.
The good thing on this SUV: There is tons of grille space. I have a dynamax speaker mounted with plenty room to spare, so I am confident you could place a bigger speaker, grille lights etc into it as well if you so desired.
I haven't gotten around installing any mobiles yet, as I have used portables in the interim, but perhaps the center console may be a place to vertically drop your radios etc, if you are willing to sacrifice one or both cupholders...
Well, that's my $.02 worth. It's really not that much, superimpressive or anywhere as cool as some of the vehicles in this forum, but it does the job I need it to do. Maybe one day if I can get insights on how to drop hideaway bulbs and such, I will get ambitious!
Cheers 8)

this truck is kinda a pain in the a**. i just did one and all the great ideas i had for the customer went out the window when i got the thing apart. for insstance don't bother trying to get strobes in the corner running lights. i was going to remove the bulb and put the storbes in but there is no clearance behind the housing. also it is Alot smaller on the inside and heat would have certianly be a problem. going through the firewall on the pass. side behind the glovebox is what i did also as mentioned. i ended up with this:

Whelen Linear8 over/under LEDs in the grille
Dual Talon mounted passengers side
Strobe inserts in the reverse and brake/tail light.
two single Talons on the "headliner" in the rear.
Sho-Me U/C siren.
UHF cdm 1250 ls remote mount.

i put the siren switches and the two (yes two) switches in the headliner/rearview mirror housing. switching is front on-rear on. I am not a big fan of a gazillion switches to operate lighting etc. and the customer thought it was cool too. i mouted the P/S and siren under the pass. seat and the body of the radio is in the very rear under the plastic wall on the right. the head is just below his center armrest. the customer wanted "nothing showing, stealth" as it is is POV, which i cannot agree with more and in the end nothing is. i put a UHF phantom in the center of the roof behind the air damn. works great!.
