Hi. A small web site w/ pic of install on 03 Tahoe.
Radios are: FT90 Yaesu Ham, Astro Spectra UHF W9, CDM1250 VHF.
Whelen Siren/Light Control
Antennas: 4 Antenex Mounts, w. Antenex UHF Black, Dual Band Ham (non Antenex), VHF Antenex Black, and an xtra NMO Mount w/ an Antenex Rain cap in case i want to do something else in the furute.
Havis Console 18". Im a lil' unhappy w/ the mount for the 1250 was hoping for a 'flusher' look. Decided to do the mics in front for a 'low' profile look and since I scan more than yap.
Install : Head Liner Drop pretty easy, even w/ A/C Ducts in roof. Ducts I noticed are molded into liner so there was no extra removal/concerns w/ head liner dropping. 'Guts' of radios are under rear seat. Board was fabricated to mount equipment (not shown). Too bad i didnt have my hands on the Suburban Metal Plate in previous posts would have been so sweet. Due to rear a/c there was no mounting room in the right rear quarter panel. Also I killed the space inthe left rear cargo area w/ a subwoofer, yes i need my tunes, (just an 8" in the factory enclosure)
So thats about it ! Let me know what you think. This is my 1st 'real' install, and a friend was kind enough to assist me. We did all the work ourselves. Thank You for viewing.
PM, email for addtnl info, more pics etc.
Thanks
John J.
