I programmed a few of the MX1000s I reacently got in with no problems.
then suddenly I started getting a 5i Core Checksum Messages when I whent to re-read two of the radios I programmed. They are completely dead now and I am Stumped.
I am using a slow 486, Factory Rib & Cables
I havent had a problem yet programming my Domestic Saber
Are these radios toast? or is there a way to jolt them back in to whack.
Thanks

Hi Vince! I have gotton a checksum error on read (but not a 5i)? Try (on a long shot) re-booting the pc, check all cables, rib battery? shut the radios off/on ....see what happens? Re-installing the RSS was a problem that fixed a friend of mine's same error! Ed

Since MX1000-radios are very friendly, you can put them back into life by dumping an "good" codeplug (same bandsplit, model etc.) into the radio.
