In order to email you we need an email address!!! If he's a Motorola tech? He can get the schemetic for an MT1000. Or you can for $30. by calling 1-800-422-4210 and ask for the service manual! Or go to another Motorola tech/repair center.

I will advise anyone to NOT try to solder to the flex. All the connections are available at the options jack or on the main baord.

<b>There is really NO REASON that one would
have to solder to the flex ! Find another
qualified tech.

Soldering to the PC Foil under the Mylar will
damage the Flex FOREVER ! Also, since parts from Motorola is becoming more difficult and
expensive, you might turn a good radio into a
paper weight.

I do detailed work, but I am not Cheap !!

If you can't find someone in your area, I can
offer to do the work, but you may be out 125.00-150.00 for the upgrade.

Depending on the size of the board in question, I would recomend a extended front
cover ( as in the ones used for MDC ) and
mount the PC baord to the new front cover, and re-route the wires to the Radio Directly
through a small disconnect ( for Service / when / if needed )

At least it will be done properly !

Thanks, I have the MDC front cover, and the flex part I was concerned about. The board is approx 1/2 by 1 in.
