I'm having trouble with this one. I assumed that these radios would have the same 16-pin configuration as the Maxtrac/Radius, but it looks like not.

I need to program this radio so it grounds one of the pins on the 16 pin connector once the radio receive audio "opens" with the proper DPL code. I don't know if I have the wrong pin on this radio or if I'm doing something wrong in RSS.
Also, is pin 11 on these radios a "flat", unadjustable audio output like the Max?

For those of you who figured it out, yes, this is going to be the UHF receive link for the lowband repeater that was posted two weeks ago.

So Jim, you are going to link to the dispatcher in another city on UHF?

Look for Correct PL or DPL code + COS and that is usally set up on pin eight. In the RSS accessory configuration set pin 8 to "PL/DPL+CSQ Det". Watch out this is ONLY five volt logic and most base radios are thirteen volts on the ptt circuits.
The audio output going to the low band radio comes out on pin 11 as "De-emph / Muted". The audio goes thru a external 1.8k resistor and a 2.2 uf cap with the positive to the low band radio's mic input.

Thanks, Will. I got it.
Yes, I'm linking via UHF to the regional dispatch center. This should eliminate all of our problems. They gave us a hard time at first, being the receive one their end could be either low or UHF, but they quit whining now. By doing it this way, in the future with a reprogram of the UHF transmit frequency, we could set up another lowband/UHF unit at another location and do a lowband repeat.

Jim, I did not figure out what radio you have for the low band base. This way I can let you know of any other issues that need to be addressed in your interface.

If I can help further, let me know.
