I have a Saber I secure capable submersible that someone had tried to pry off the knobs.(not me)
After the black outer knob broke they super glued them together. Last night they fell apart.
1.Do I have to replace the whole knob?
2. Are they available from Motorola?
3. How are they replaced

Brien,
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. You DO pry them off, so speak, but very carefully.
First, there is the outer part which is the knob, which can be the standard type with the top that sticks up, or the low-profile type which is more like a regular radio control knob.
Second, there is an inner plastic part which goes over the metal control shaft on the inside, and mates with the slots in the outer part (again, the actual knob). This part can be red, or green, or blue. I've usually used the red ones.
Third, underneath the whole setup is a black collar which acts as sort of a "seat" for the whole setup. I'm not certain but this part may act as something of a seal. Anyway, this part actually goes on first, before you slip the inner plastic part over the shaft.
I use a very small screwdriver to just barely get the blade under the knob, then wiggle it slightly until the knob starts to come up, and then you can usually just pull the knob off. The inner plastic thing is split vertically and if it won't pull off a knife blade in the split will usually release it.

HI:
Also, you must buy a " Replacement Kit " which
includes the Inner Spacers...
I have a few if you don't mind the Cost.
Once they have been removed, manytimes
the outside rubber becomes uneven.
Best to replace the whole thing
